good news the deal from last Dec. went thru I get a condo for $300,000 the deal was approved should close end of july needs work its a 55 plus community ranch with a two car garage which we could not find around here. so i am happy lots to fix up will do a little at a time. have to replace mechanicals.

My opinion, but with that much to be replaced the selling price is much too high. Then again, you may be living in an area with California prices.

Most people don't know what mechanicals are, which is why I asked. I was married to a mechanical engineer at one time.

A good $100,000 more than in Boise. But if that's the going rate, you're stuck.

FWIW, Bert bought 5 acres with two nice homes in 1972 for 85,000. He sold it in 1980 for 150,000. And the last I looked the asking prices was 550,000. California is insane
